t-Boc-N-amido-PEG36-acid is a PEG linker with a terminal carboxylic acid and a Boc-protected amino group. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. With activation by reagents such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple to primary amines to form a stable amide bond. Mild acidic conditions remove the Boc protecting group to expose the free amine.
