TCO-PEG2-acid is a PEG-based click chemistry linker bearing a TCO group and a terminal carboxylic acid. With an activator such as EDC, the acid group can react with primary amines. The TCO group reacts readily with tetrazines through an inverse electron demand Diels Alder (IEDDA) reaction followed by a retro-DA step. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
TCO can isomerize to the cis form, CCO, with loss of reactivity, so long-term storage is not recommended. The specified storage temperature is -20°C; listed purity is 95%.
